Acai smoothie bowl
Smoothie bowls are my favorite for breakfast. You can simply throw all your favorite fruits and greens together and get a delicious and creamy breakfast. I also love to spoon my food … and to eat it out of a bowl. I don’t know if that’s a little weird, but I prefer them a lot over plates! Maybe because I am a little lazy eater… So smoothies are just the perfect thing for me. Furthermore they are so refreshing and you already get all vitamins and minerals in the early morning. They keep you fueled till lunch and aren’t too
I wouldn't like to miss acaí berries. They are one of the healthiest berries you will find. It is an exotic relative of the blueberry and typically found in the rain forests of the Amazon.
People used to say over the centuries that acaí berries have a healing, immune-stimulating and energizing effect on our body. Moreover they contain many antioxidants. That means acaí might prevent us from diseases which are associated with oxidative damage. I am using dried acaí powder and little amounts are perfect for boosting your smoothie bowl.
I had an acai bowl when I was in Munich some days ago, but I liked mine more, so I thought I need to share the recipe with you.
I am adding acai powder, guarana powder, frozen banana, pineapple, some plant milk and frozen berries, which I still have in store from summer. I always pick as much as I can find of them when they are in season and freeze them, so I can enjoy them in winter as well. That brings some extra freshness to the smoothie.

Acaí smoothie bowl
(makes one bowl)
2 frozen bananas
1/3 cup of frozen blueberries
a splash of plant milk
1 tsp acaí powder
1/2 tsp guarana powder
1.The evening before, freeze the bananas.
2. Remove the skin from the pineapple, cut it into pieces and place it with all the other ingredients into your food processor.
3. Process unti your smoothie has reached a creamy consistency and no pieces are left.
4. Top with your favorite berries, fruits or granola.
